TIGER III grant submitted by Kittitas County for I-90 project

Today, Kittitas County filed an application for TIGER III stimulus grant dollars for the I-90 Snoqualmie Pass East Project.  If awarded, this grant would leverage dollars already in hand from the legislative direction in the 2011 session to apply savings from Phase 1C to keep the project moving forward.  The savings in addition to these grant dollars could complete a Phase 2 of the project including both important lane improvements for capacity and wildlife connectivity measures.

Kittitas County filed this application with a huge amount of support from a wide range of interests.

Announcements from US Department of Transportation on the winners of the TIGER III grants should come by the end of the year.
